A sociology professor at the University of Tampa published a tweet on Sunday afternoon suggesting that Texas residents deserve the death, destruction and suffering caused by Hurricane Harvey because a majority of Texas voters supported Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
The professor is Kenneth L. Storey, reports Campus Reform.
“I don’t believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them,” Storey wrote in one tweet.
When another Twitter user responded that Texas is home to “good people” and that Storey “may want to rethink” the tweet, Storey doubled down.
“Well, the good people there need to do more to stop the evil their state pushes. I’m only blaming those who support the GOP there,” Storey wrote.
The professor also declared that Florida residents who voted for Trump “deserve” the suffering visited upon Texas by Hurricane Harvey this weekend.
Storey has since deleted the Hurricane Harvey-related tweets and apologized.
He has also appears to have dramatically altered his Twitter presence. As of Monday evening, Storey no longer includes a photo for his Twitter account. Also, though Twitter has recorded some 72,700 tweets by Storey, just four currently show up on his tweets page.
The University of Tampa webpage for Storey describes him as a visiting assistant professor. He has a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida and he teaches an introductory course in sociology. His research involves “urban issues within the southeastern United States, including research in gun shows, planned communities and unique issues of tourism focused commercial districts.”
Texas officials say least nine people have died as a result of the severe storms and flooding in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, according to The Washington Post.
The death toll will likely increase as rivers continue to rise in the aftermath of the storms and as significantly more rain — up to 20 more inches — pummels the state this week.
Trump won the state of Texas in 2016 by about 9 percent of the vote. Nearly 3.9 million of the state’s residents voted for Hillary Clinton, Trump’s Democratic opponent.
The University of Tampa is private. A single year of undergraduate tuition, fees and room and board at the school costs $38,928.
Antifa violence broke out once again in Berkeley, California, this weekend.
On Sunday, a small number of supporters of President Trump decided to gather in the left-wing college town following the cancellation of two similar demonstrations in the area the day before. The reason for the cancellations was due to the large number of violent threats the pro-Trump organizers received.
The day Trump supporters actually showed up in the Bay Area gave leftists the chance to make good on their threats.
The scenes on the ground in Berkeley showed black-masked, red flag-waving thugs taking over the city and assaulting anyone they deemed to be a Nazi. It was a stark contrast to the heroic image Antifa has earned from journalists and politicians in the weeks since the violence in Charlottesville. (RELATED: Berkeley Antifa Protest Turns Violent As ‘Anti-Fascists’ Swarm Park)
There were no clear Nazis in Berkeley, just your average Trump supporters. Yet that didn’t save them from a beating at the hands of Antifa.
Strangely enough, Antifa had drawn praise from the most unlikely of sources within the Trump administration just a few days before they rioted against free assembly in Berkeley.
In a interview with the Financial Times, Gary Cohn, a former Goldman Sachs executive and current White House economic adviser, publicly rebuked his boss Donald Trump’s response to the Charlottesville violence that both sides were at fault. He also praised Antifa as a force for good.
“Citizens standing up for equality and freedom can never be equated with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK,” the top Trump adviser asserted.
There are many odd things about a Trump-aligned Goldman Sachs figurehead praising anti-capitalist rioters. It’s pretty strange to praise leftists who dedicate their lives to suppressing free speech and free assembly as standing up for freedom.
Antifa are pretty open about not liking these freedoms, as evidenced by their actions in Berkeley. So it’s hard to say they’re fighting for liberty — especially when they continually attack average Americans who support the president you work for.
What’s even more bizarre is for a Wall Street power player to stand with guys who fantasize about murdering bankers. Cohn is effectively defending people who see him as an evil monster who deserves violence as much as Nazis do.
The leftsts wish to tear down the whole financial system that Cohn has worked his whole life upholding, so why is he praising them?
The answer is that he doesn’t see Antifa as a threat at all. Wall Street folks don’t have to worry about the black-masked bloc assaulting them or burning down their offices. If they did, the federal government would ruthlessly pursue them as domestic terrorists.
But Cohn only sees them as attacking and harming marginal groups that have hardly any cultural capital. It doesn’t matter if those folks get hurt just expressing their constitutional rights, especially if those attacked might disrupt business.
Besides, how can you be a member of polite society and think even detestable Nazis deserve protection from violence?
But Antifa doesn’t just attack right-wing extremists. They also go after your average Trump supporters and conservatives.
However, that still might not be a problem for Cohn and other elites.
The White House economic adviser has drawn a lot of heat during his time in the administration for representing the opposite of Trumpism. Cohn likes unrestricted free trade. He supports globalism. He’s a fan of mass immigration. He has no time for culture war.
And, as seen by his position leading Goldman Sachs, he’s obviously very pro-elite. Cohn’s influence is often seen by Trump’s supporters on the Right as a major hindrance to the agenda they supported in the campaign.
Which brings us back to Antifa. For an anti-establishment group, they rarely, if ever, go after the establishment. Instead, they consign themselves to attacking random Trump supporters and white nationalists — hardly people close to the halls of power.
If these anti-capitalist leftists just focus on people who are opponents of policies Cohn supports, then why should he have a problem with them?
The chattering class has designated the alt-right, Breitbart, Trump voters, ICE and talk radio as far greater threats to American society than violent left-wingers. Cohn, in all likelihood, agrees with this sentiment.
The only threat that he may disagree with is that of President Trump, who is seen as the biggest threat to our country by America’s elites. Since Antifa also stands against Trump, it makes the group a natural ally to the establishment, in spite of their violence and anti-capitalist rhetoric.
Those qualms can be ignored if the anarchists’ energy is directed solely at enemies they share with the elites.
The violence in Berkeley is unlikely to convince Antifa’s supporters in media and politics to rethink their praise. As long as they don’t disrupt any Democratic Party events or Goldman Sachs meetings, they’ll still be heroes fighting for equality and freedom in the eyes of the elite.
This enabling will lead to more violence and embolden the black-clad thugs to continue their crusade against anyone they deem a Nazi. It’s doubtful that they will rethink their actions in light of receiving praise from Wall Street giants and Mitt Romney.
They just want to role play the Spanish Civil War, not attack the actual establishment.
Legend has Vladimir Lenin stating, “We will hang the capitalists with the rope that they sell us.”
Today’s Bolshevik wannabes likely see their new, powerful allies in the same light.
The capitalists of our age certainly don’t think they are a threat to the establishment, but that might change if the leftists are further emboldened.
When given the blank check to attack all Nazis, things might dramatically change when banks are singled out as havens of fascism.
Italian police are investigating after a Polish tourist was gang raped by migrants as her boyfriend was savagely beaten on Italy's popular Rimini beach.
Italian news reports said the man passed out after being beaten on the head and robbed.
His partner was repeatedly raped by four men early on Saturday on a secluded stretch of beach in the Adriatic town on Italy's eastern coast, near San Marino.
Italian Scientific Police investigate the site where a couple of Polish tourists were attacked by four migrant men, in Miramare in Rimini.
Media reports said the 26-year-old Polish couple were hospitalised with injuries.
Passers-by called police after seeing the couple, bloodied and dazed, on the beach.
Italian police are still searching for the suspects of what they described as a "brutal and bestial attack."
Last year, a 17-year-old British tourist was raped on the same stretch of beach by a migrant.
The girl went to the beach with a man she had meet to "watch the shooting stars" when he attacked and raped her.

Muslim migrants in Greece shouted “no more waiting!” and violently protested outside the German embassy in Athens against delays in bringing their family members to join them.
August 2, 2017: ATHENS (Reuters) – Syrian refugees stranded in Greece chanted “no more waiting!” and protested outside the German embassy in Athens on Wednesday against delays in reuniting with their relatives in Germany.
About 100 people, among them young children, marched from parliament to the embassy holding up cardboard banners in English reading “I want my family” and shouting slogans about travel to Germany.
Greek media have reported that Greece and Germany have informally agreed to slow down refugee reunification, stranding families in Greece for months after they fled Syria’s civil war.
About 60,000 refugees and migrants, mostly Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis, have been in Greece for over a year after border closures in the Balkans halted the onward journey many planned to take to central and western Europe.
“My message is ‘enough waiting, enough suffering’,” said 41-year-old Syrian Malak Rahmoun, who lives in a Greek camp with her three daughters while her husband and son are in Berlin. “I feel my heart (is) miserable,” she said.
Nearly 11,000 refugees and migrants have crossed to Greece from Turkey this year….
DOMESTIC. In the winter, a man with intellectual disabilities was fooled into a HVB home where he was raped by two so-called unaccompanied refugees. The punishment for the duo was youth care and compensation, but no expulsion.
February 16, 2017, a 20-year-old man with intellectual disabilities was raped by 17-year-old Fawad and 18-year-old Hossein at a HVB home in Stenungsund. The rape was filmed with an Ipad and the video became the most important bit of evidence at the trial
The film showed that the man was instructed by the two refugees during the intercourse and that he was sexually inexperienced. There is no evidence that the exposed man wanted homosexual sex or that he was excited or even understood what was going on.
Before the rape the 20-year-old man was fooled to the site via Facebook. Fawad wrote to him via Messenger "Where are you? I will have a matter with you ".
The mother of the raped man subsequently experienced his behavior as strange. She discovered the damage at his anal opening and then made a police report. The rapist man then told him that he had been told that he would be killed or injured if he told anyone what had happened.
Both Fawad and Hossein have denied crimes during police hearings and claimed they did not know that the 20-year-old has an intellectual disability. But the district court does not consider it credible when staff at the HVB home heard the so-called children talking about the man having "developmental disturbance", writes SVT.
The two defendants are citizens of Afghanistan and unaccompanied who came to Sweden in 2015. The man who was subjected to the abuse has his family in Sweden and they all originally originate from Afghanistan but have lived for a long time in Iran. They came to Sweden in 2014.
Uddevalla District Court judges Fawad for rape and assisting in rape. The sentence became youth care. Hossein is sentenced for rape to seven months of youth care.
Both will together pay $ 110,000 in damages to the raped man. Fawad will pay 15,000 kronor extra for sweating and aching.
The prosecutor never claimed expulsion.
Something has to be done.
A 37 year old woman was found dangling from the border fence while crossing near Tucson, Arizona with her pals, who climbed back over the fence into Mexico.
According to U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers:
“Agents patrolling the border east of Nogales witnessed two smugglers attempting to lower the woman into the United States from Mexico using a harness and hoist rope. When agents approached, the woman attempted to climb back over the fence into Mexico but the smugglers left her hanging.
Responding agents found the woman suspended approximately 15 feet above the ground and called the Nogales Fire Department to get her down.
The woman was uninjured and is now being processed for immigration violations.”
What do YOU think. Should she be processed for immigration violations?
Despite critics, Trump vows to build a “great border wall … and we will stop the drugs that are pouring into our country and poisoning our youth …”. This illegal immigration is a risky business. As seen above! And the sooner the wall is built the better. Funding ideas include paid advertising on the wall … even lists of private donors!
What do you think? Would you be willing to donate $20 to get this wall built?
